Tuition for St. Rose Parishioners
To receive the parishioner rate, at least one parent must be a registered, practicing member of St. Rose Church. As a member of the parish, it is expected that one is attending Sunday Mass and contributing to the support of the parish through the Sunday offering and/or volunteering in time and talent. Otherwise, the non-participating/non-parishioner rate will be charged.
| Parishioner Rate | |
|---|---|
| 1 Child | $2250 ($204.54 per month or $562.50 per quarter) |
| 2 Children | $3750 ($340.90 per month or $937.50 per quarter) |
| 3 or more | $4900 ($445.45 per month or $1225 per quarter) |
| Kindergarten | Same rate per child |
Tuition Payment Procedures
Tuition payments can be made at the rectory or school office. In the 2008-2009 school year, you will be given a Tuition Payment Booklet. This booklet has a payment statement for each month for 11 months starting in July and ending in May. (Please note the monthly rate above.) In this way, tuition will come in on a regular basis. It should help in planning for payment of tuition. The diocesan policy states that no report cards can be distributed if tuition is unpaid, and records cannot be sent to other schools.
Please see School Fees for additional costs associated with student enrollment.
Tuition for Parishioners of other Parishes
Tuition rates and payments are to be arranged with one's respective parish. That parish, in turn, pays St. Rose's the per pupil cost unless some other arrangement is made. Generally the tuition rates are the same as those for St. Rose parishioners (see above). Please see School Fees for additional cost associated with student enrollment.
Tuition for Non-Participating Parishioners and Non-Parishioners:
The following rate schedule applies to non-participating St. Rose parishioners and non-parishioners of another parish.
Non-Participating & Non-Parishioner Rate Tuition
| Non-Parishioner Rate | |
|---|---|
| 1 Child | $4,200 ($381.82 per month) |
| 2 Children | $8,400 ($763.64 per month) |
| 3 or more | $12,600 ($1145.45 per month) |
| Kindergarten | Same rate per child |
Please see School Fees for additional cost associated with student enrollment.
Scholarshiop & Financial Aid
All St. Rose Pupils Receive Scholarships. The 2008-2009 budget to operate the school will exceed $1,600,000. That means that it will cost approximately $4,000 to educate one child. Accordingly, every child of a parishioner receives a scholarship of $1,650 from the parish, coming mostly from Sunday offerings. Children from families with 2 or more in the school, receive even more.
Genuine Need of Financial Aid:
In cases of genuine need, parents may be eligible for some financial tuition assistance from the parish. To receive such help, parents must complete a form documenting the need. The Private School Aid Service provides forms to us and then processes all data. The forms are available in the school and rectory offices. The Private School Aid Service does require a minimal $20.00 fee to process the forms. It is very important to remember that all forms, and the $20.00 fee are sent directly to the company. There are full directions in the form booklet. Follow the directions completely because, if any part of the form is not completed, they will send it back to you.
All forms are due at the Private School Aid Service on or before July 1, 2008 prior to the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year.
School Fees:
The school fee for K-8 will be $75 per student (family) for the 2008-2009 school year. The school fee for Pre-Kindergarten will be $75 per student.
A registration fee of $50 per family.
Fees can be paid to the school or the rectory office. Checks should be made out to St. Rose School and are to be separate from the tuition payment. Please do not include this payment in your monthly tuition payment. This fee covers necessary materials, some supplies and the computer program.
